(1) Set the distance for each cel (layer).

(2a) Set the focal distance and FinalFocus automatically realizes natural perspectives around the focus.

(2b) You may follow focus to other cels and you can also adjust the amount of blur for each cel separately.

Gives natural perspectives to artificially composed video images.

It sometimes feels that the more depth and detail given to a composition the less natural and realistic it becomes. Regardless of the medium - film, commercials, animation, video games - you may have had that kind of experience if you are professional creator. Layered images tend to be flat and have unnatural perspectives.

IrisFilter4 was developed to allow natural representation of depth of field (DOF) based on 3D distance maps. The application was not designed for compositions not made entirely of 3D images. Distance map manipulated DOF representation is not able to filter very small objects in foreground because there is no information about what is behind the objects.

FinalFocus was developed to resolve these problems and allow creators to work with natural DOF representation. Like taking pictures with a multiplane camera you can adjust the distance between layers, set the focal point as you wish and modify the DOF with great flexibility.

FinalFocus's filter quality is the best available as it is based on the highly respected engine used in IrisFilter4. It is totally different from similar tools in TinderBox, ImageLounge or Lenscare. FinalFocus is capable of filtering translucent and transparent alpha-channels and enhances the qualities of water splashes and translucent glasses. FinalFocus may be used in conjunction with IrisFilter4 to take advantage of its ability to render objects moving around the field.

FinalFocus is the ultimate tool for composite creators who want to natural DOF effects of flim cameras and seek real quality in their work. All you need to do is set the distances between layers. The distance can be kept changed as the clip progresses. (Keyframes need to be "on".) You can manually set the focal point or if you set follow focus ON, FinalFocus automatically calculates the distance. FinalFocus easily processes water splashes, flames, wine glasses or tiny objects in the foreground like wire netting. These objects will be beautifully rendered with natural light reflections.

FinalFocus is the ideal solution for those who want to move beyond the limitations of HD cameras that let you take only pan focused images or want toor make composites appear to have the qualites of a three dimensional scene.

Features of FinalFocus
Distance setting between cels You can set distances between cels (0-255). The default number of cels is 10 and you can use up to 21.
Focal setting You can adjust the focal point wherever you want and the DOF is set accordingly.
Light reflection Realizes the natural reflection of lights. By adjusting the distance between layers (objects), the lights reflect as naturally as those between objects in real world. >This feature lets every single object in your composition fit naturally into it.
Focal manipulation adjustment The amount of focal manipulation is determined by where you set the focal point. If you want to put more or less emphasis on an object you can adjust the focus layer by layer.
Aperture shapes FinalFocus has choices of lens aperture shapes including triangular, octagonal and circlar irises. This feature lets you represent the affects achieved by differently shaped camera lenses.
Exposure Sets exposure speed to film to adjust the brightness. The quality is totally different from brightness adjustment in standard photo-video editing software.
Film hardness Sets the film hardness which modifies the qualities of the focal effects .
