A defect in the digital video composite

After Effects is full of freedom letting you create composite works up to minute details. However, the more elaborately and minutely you work on, the more your work tends to appear unnaturally flat and artificial. That is because of the nature of digital video composite that you use CG images and other materials photographed for composite purpose.

Take a Look at these two pictures on your left. You see how carefully the two images combined to one,but resulting in a solid and unnatural image. What's lacking to make it look natural and 3-dimensional?
